Are You a Peacekeeper or a Peacemaker?
God will bless your life when your mouth blesses your life. It all starts with the condition of your heart. Bitterness is a seed that is sown. That is an offense. Bitterness is only one of the products of offense. It is just one manifestation.
It is very easy to be dragged off course. Finding scriptures that help keep your focus is essential. We need God to show us, us. If something is not quite like Him, we have to have the fortitude and courage to make the necessary corrections.
We all have blind spots that prevent us from seeing ourselves fully. When we have blind spots, we have people who surround us to help us see and understand.
Peacekeepers do not want to rock the boat and compromise the truth. It is not a truth that will last in peace. Peacemakers seek true peace by addressing wrongs and speaking truths. They value truth over comfort.
There are four practical Responses to Offense.
1. Personal Responsibilities - You, as a believer, have to be responsible for your actions and reactions.
2. Active Peacemaking - Resolving conflicts and promoting harmony even when it is not your fault. You must sound like what you hear from God.
3. Universal Mandate - Ensure that you are not a source of strife, gossip, verbal abuse, or judgment.
4. Self Control - Controlling your heart. The soul tries to be in control.
Let God speak to you to make the necessary changes.
age - mature = pride
age + mature = humility
The level of a man's maturity defines the level of what they can endure.
You have to be the first to apologize, forgive, and seek peace. We have to maintain the condition of our hearts.
