Back to the Future: Return to Faith (Pt. 2)

The people of Judah are urged to go back to the old path God laid out for them. There is blessing in the Lord's instruction. We have to be sensitive to the Lord's leading. Hear Him and follow.

Our culture wants to know why you may not be moving this way and that way. Wisdom says to wait for God's directions to declare what path to take. Pause for a minute and reflect. Ask God if you are still on the right path.

Know that not everything is progress, and everything old isn’t obsolete. A road can be new, but still take you in the wrong direction. A road can be crowded, but still be wrong.

Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet because he served for about 40 years and witnessed a lot of destruction of Jerusalem. He was responsible for the Book of Jeremiah and Lamentations.

God wants to use you, no matter what your path may have been. The enemy wants you to believe that God will not call people because of where they came from and what they were involved in. God will use any willing vessel.

If God has called you, He will equip you. Trust God until He makes what He wants you to do comes to pass.

1. God will interrupt your pace to preserve your position. He attempts to get your attention by rerouting your journey. Examples are Paul and Jonah. You have to make a decision to stand firm in the faith.

Maturity is when we can find God in the midst of tragedy. Your destiny is not within the four walls of the church. It is outside among the unbelievers to win them.

Jesus took His time. Follow the pace of Jesus. Stop, think, and reflect.

2. Every road leads to a destination. There is a time when we have to examine ourselves.

3. Humble ourselves and ask God for wise counsel. Do not be led by your feelings.

4. We have to follow God's instructions.
