The Psalms

Jan 18, 2026    Apostle Anthony Wallace

Be encouraged that you have the victory.  Jesus is soon to come, and it is our job to be ready for Him.  He is soon to come.

You may be in the image of God, but not know the God who made you.   We can make confessions of God, but not be connected to the God of that confession.  Begin to look at your condition not as hopeless, but with hope.  You can have hope in the midst of sorrow.  You can lament, and the enemy will tell you that everyone but you is having a good time.    Talk to those very people, and they will tell you the true story of your lives.

The Book of Psalms and Proverbs takes us through to God’s glory.  Sometimes, you will need a friend to help you get through difficult times, and at other times, you will need no one.  God has brought many people out with a high hand.  He moved on their behalf.  He will do the same for you.

The Psalms express a full range of the connection to God.  It gives voice to our faith.  Psalms discuss our doubts, fears, and joy.  He talks about repentance.  The Book of Psalms was written over centuries.  It is a good thing when you can find yourself in the Book of Psalms.  For instance, Weeping may endure for a night…. The Lord is my Shepherd….

The Book of Psalms is an opening of the type of attitude we should have toward God’s word.

Psalm 1

Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],

Nor stand in the path of sinners,

Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of [b]scoffers (ridiculers).

Walking is the character of your witness.  I am walking with the wisdom of the Scriptures.

Standing - critics, they have no interest in serving God.

Sitting - Scornful, making judgments, despising the wisdom of God.  saying bad things about things that are good.  What are you picking up?  What are you taking in?

If we want God, we have to want what He has to give.  At some point in time, we have to have fruit that honors our Creator.   When extra hell comes on you, it is God proving who you are in Him.
