The Threefold Gifts of God

There is one God in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We are created in His image.  We can be one person in multiple expressions.  

1 Corinthians 12.4-6

There is a diversity of gifts, but the same Spirit.  This is God at work in everyone.

The Father shapes you.

The Son appoints you.

The Holy Spirit empowers you.

Gifts of the Father - Motivational gifts. (Romans 12.4-8)

Gifts of the Son - Ministering gifts.  (Ephesians 4.7-12)

Gifts of the Holy Spirit - Manifestation gifts (1 Corinthians 12.7-11)

We are all of one body, but have different gifts.

Mercy

Two people can see a problem and view it from two different points of view.  We are many members in one body.  God gives gifts to the body, for the equipping of the saints, to build up the body and promote unity.    

These gifts include:  apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.  

Gifts of the Son

Apostles - Lay the foundation

Prophets - Confirm the foundation

Evangelists - Call the workers

Pastors - Cares for the workers 

Teachers - Instruct the workers

Gifts of the Holy Spirit 

Revelations gifts

Word of wisdom - to foretell

Word of knowledge  - revealing something that happened now or in the past.

Discerning of spirits - what is the spiritual motivation 

Power Gifts

Faith

Gifts of healing

Prophecy - in the moment

Tongues - Prayer language with translation 

All three 

The Father is our identity 

The Son gives us structure 

The Holy Spirit gives us power

When all three work together, we are a healthy body in Christ.
