Planted, Not Buried

May 31, 2026    Pastor St

Bitterness can take root in Christians. You can be saved without being rooted in Christ. We have to be believers with deep roots in Christ.

During the kingdom of Judah, the people were living in uncertain times. They turned from trusting God and turning toward the military, the king, politicians, and so on. When trouble comes, how do you respond?

Judah had everything that would make them appear to be in God. When our toots are in Christ, we cannot be easily shaken. Being a Christian does not absolve us from experiencing trouble.

The processes of planting and burying are similar. The enemy can convince you that you are planted instead of buried, which will cause you to believe there is no path forward. If you are planted in a place, there is something that God wants to bring out of you. Only dead things are buried. When you are planted, there can be an expectation that something will come up. Roots have to grow down before the fruit grows up.

Your planting is a setup for your development. Flourishing is a byproduct of being in the right place. Underground is where God works on us. Do not be afraid to go underground. Do not be afraid of the dirt. God is doing something to you on the inside. Have patience to see it through. Stay planted.

God has a purpose for your life. There is space for you to flourish.
