Our God Who Sustains

Oct 12, 2025    Overseer Valerie Holcomb

Celebration of the Office Confirmation of Apostle Anthony Wallace

Psalm 126.3

Only God can make things alive and keep them alive.  The number 30 means spiritual maturity, divine assignment, and transition to full purpose.  We can recognize why we are here on this earth.

God wants to say something.  He says that He is all churched out.  He wants to do what He wants to do.  Look what the Lord has done!!!   The 30-year mark is not the end of a chapter; it is the beginning of a purpose.

1. We celebrate the Lord who sustains.

When we outlive our natural energy, the Lord will sustain us.   Abraham started his ministry at 75 years old.  God sustained him so that he was able to complete what he was ordained to do.

2. Change is inevitable.  Christ has a generation equipping the emerging generation.  If they are not mentored, they will not know who to go through the struggle.  They will not know how to stick to stay.  They have to learn that the Lord sustains.  He does not just bless the beginning, but the middle.  He underwrites the journey.  There will be trials and tribulations, but we will be delivered out of them all.

3. We learn not just by preaching but through life’s journey.  The young just want to know if what you are preaching works.  There are invisible things that sustain us.

People will always have problems.  We must be encouraged to cast our cares upon the Lord.   He feeds us when famine meets us.

4. We celebrate the Lord who strengthens us.

All the talents and gifts we have are not enough.  We must understand that our strength comes from the Lord.  We do not have enough,  in and of ourselves.  He does not just help us to endure, but he helps us to excel.  He strengthens us for the fight.  Take up your cross daily.

5. God gives you strength for the wait.  He gives strength to the weary.  Eagles run into the wind instead of flying away from the wind.  God does not always remove the storm.  The storm makes you who you have to be to fulfill your destiny.

6. He teaches us how to soar when others want to sink.  He teaches us to come out with strength.  People have to see it in us so that they can understand and accept.

What do you do when you grow weary?  You worship.  It is warfare.  When you wait, your strength is renewed.  When you trust, He transfers. When you receive curses, He will give you blessings.

We can celebrate because He is sustaining us. We can celebrate because He is strengthening us.   We can celebrate because He is still sending us.

You hold a place in heaven that you have not realized.  Whatever you are doing, Lord, do not do it without me.
