The Shepherd's Heart

Oct 5, 2025    Elder Evans Armantrading

The pastor’s role is to shepherd the sheep.  They are responsible for guidance, comfort, and correction.  Jeremiah 3:15 says God will give us pastors according to His own heart.  The Apostle governs and is a pastor to pastors.

Pastors are undershepherds.  They are called to sacrifice just as Jesus did.  Pastors deliver the word of God so that the sheep can be delivered, developed, and eventually walk in their destiny.

Believers like sheep are weak, susceptible to anxiety, drift, and are stubborn.  They require repeated instruction, patience, and are designed to connect, needing a sense of community.  Unfortunately, in today’s world of social media, there are many voices, and not all of them are correct.  There is one voice we must hear.

Do not let a past hurt influence your connection to God and the church.  There is no one perfect.

The pastor is a signpost, not the Saviour.  Pastors are not perfect, but they are positions.  When they are disrespected, one will miss the provision God has provided.  Pastors prepare you for Monday through Saturday, not just Sunday.  Do not follow your emotions, follow His voice.   Do not let casual culture cause you to treat divine gifts like common things.

The SHEPHERD is calling you.
