The Switch Keeps Jumping
Every house has a builder, and behind every builder is God. Just as electrical boxes in our homes contain switches that trip to prevent fires, our lives are similarly protected. When things go wrong, it’s a reminder to reassess and avoid deeper issues. The Word of God nourishes our souls, but when neglected, it can lead to problems, much like burning food if left unattended while cooking. We often have abundant access to God’s Word but fail to apply it effectively in our lives. Remember, the Word is meant to flow through us, not just to us.
How can we rectify this situation?
Consider how an electrical switch works: it is designed to manage a certain amount of electricity. When there’s an overload, the switch trips, prompting us to find the source of the issue. If something isn't functioning properly, it becomes essential to trace its origin. Much like buildings that are wired for electricity, we are also wired for purpose in our lives.
You are the light of the world. Light needs a power source; without it, it cannot shine. God is the ultimate power source for the Son, and when we connect to the Son, we receive that divine energy. We serve as the breaker or connection, capable of introducing obstacles that disrupt our flow. The Word of God is our true power source. The brilliance of our light is determined by the absence of blockage. How brightly we shine depends on how faithfully we apply God’s Word to our lives.
