Bitterness
Is God better when you do not know what is going on? Is God better when things are going wrong? Is God the God of better when things are going well?
It is good to acknowledge that God is the Master of the house. We are not the hand, we are the tool in the hand. We have to honor each other. We cannot honor the cup and cracker, but not each other.
You belong to God, and our thoughts should be centered on God. We are not perfect, but we are making progress. Do not be bitter. You are not designed to be that way. It starts with a root and can be very subtle. Bitterness comes from a seed that gets sown. Some seeds grow in some type of soil, good or bad. The seed of bitterness is the result of unresolved hurt. There are many people walking around hurt, but how many people did you hurt?
We all will not go through life unscathed. We will all be hurt at some point in time. Some people rehearse situations that have hurt them in the past. We want to live our lives free of bitterness. The seed is the hurt that grows in your hurt. Bitterness makes you do things that you never thought you would. Bitterness will make you exaggerate the facts.
Every harvest proves what is planted. Your response to the stimulus proves what is in your heart. Do you know what your fruit is? If not, ask a couple of honest people. Get past what and who hurt you. Free yourself.
Chronic bitterness and resentment act as toxic stressors that keeps the body in a constant fight or flight mode. Bitterness can shorten your life and weaken your body.
